What Do You Do When Your Dog Is Not Leash Trained at Six Months Old?

Dear friends, I have a great video to share with you today.  This is a demonstration of a 6-month-old German Shepherd that’s never had a collar on his neck and has never been on a leash either.

This will be his first experience with the leash and collar with me.

The important things I want you to learn and understand is how you need to have patience when you are practicing with your dog. This what happens to a lot of dogs that are raised in a back yard, and have never been walked. Leash and collar training should begin and be taught at 12 weeks of age, and beyond.

Leash training A Six-Month-Old German Shepherd.  This video will teach you how to go about getting a German Shepherd Leash Train Fast.  What you will learn is how I use a 15-foot cotton web long line, to get him to come when I called, along with teaching him that walking on the leash is not a bad thing.

This way you will see how fast your dog can learn, to understand what you want them to learn. The long line will give him more leash to gain his attention and help with building conference.  You want your dog to learn not to run away from you when you first start any type of leash work.

Part Two will be coming soon.  How to use a six-foot leash.

In the next video, you will see me using the 6-foot leash.  And I will teach him how to walk with me and work on his attention training.

Ps: It’s important to know when I put this video on my first website that I ever built my students gave me this name. The dog training guy.  So I decided to go with this name for a while.  But this website will be coming down soon and be moving a lot of good information on this website.  I have a lot of great content that I’ll be sharing with you.

Thanks, Dennis.
